The impact we make
Inspiring Yarns CIC
Based in Newtownards, Co Down, we provide services across Northern Ireland and sometimes further afield through Zoom.  Our aims are to use yarn-based skills to improve mental health and well-being and reduce social isolation, whilst promoting heritage crafts.  Our founding Directors know first hand, from lived experiences, the social and mental health benefits of yarn crafts and are passionate about sharing this with others.  Since February 2021 we have worked up to providing, on average, 23 groups per month, and 100% of our profits made from sales support this work.  Like many other inspirational sellers, you can support this work to reduce mental health stigma through eBay for Change.

Recommended hook/needle size is 4mm.  100% Acrylic, we would always recommend hand washing to extend product life, however this can be machine washed and should always be dried flat.

We believe in fair and honest postage pricing, we offer a flat rate for UK postage which you pay only on the first item purchased, any additional items purchased at the same time will have free p&p.  We do not profit in anyway on postage and we do not send yarns vacuum packed. We aim for environmentally friendly packaging options where possible and may recycle single use plastics to achieve safe delivery of goods.

What is eBay for Change?
We have partnered with Social Enterprise UK and the World Fair Trade Organisation to develop eBay for Change, a programme designed to support the growth of the social enterprise sector. Every purchase from an eBay for Change social enterprise will have a direct positive impact on supporting disadvantaged communities, whether that's providing job or training opportunities to people who are distant from the labour market, tackling social problems like homelessness and exclusion, or improving peoples life chances, or supporting environmental action.
Be part of the change.
