A tight firm tutorial, a classic of the genre from near a Century ago.  Green/black-decorated and lettered hard boards, 7 3/4" x 5 1/4" x 431 thick, supple and well-illustrated pages of splendid teaching for the Elementary - the Primary - schools of that era.  This book was sent to the State of Texas for review and use beginning in 1934. 

Writers include Dickens, Shakespeare, Mary Mapes Dodge, Helen Keller, Robert Louis Stevenson, Ernest Thompson Seton, Thackeray, Edward Lear, Edward St. Vincent Millay, John Keats, scores more.  A wonderful collection - reading taught in the classic tradition.  

A solid tutorial, interiors are Very Good, lightly read and clean.  The boards show wear at the spine ends and leading corners, including tiny pin-heads of wearthrough after all those decades.  No looseness, No dogears, No mustiness, No smoke smell.  Splendid for the student, parent, teacher.  We do try to describe them correctly - We want you back as a customer - hundreds of repeat customers.
