Vintage Rajasthani Horse on Wheels Wedding Horse Marwari War Copper Folk Art.

This is a rare vintage fascinating hand carved wooden Rajasthani wedding horse on wheels. Also referred to as a Marwari war horse.

Hard to accurately age, base upon the copper patina and metal accents, we’re guessing this is an early version. It has a lovely aged patina and detailed metal work, copper tack with metal accents around the whole piece. The clasp is in working order to open and close the top of the horse that slides out to reveal the 2 inside compartments that were possibly used to store spices. The wheels are decorated with copper and roll details. The horse has a wonderful antique feel showing lots of age and vintage charm. A very special unique piece.
