(2) Two Antique Cabinet Card Photographs. Depicting Albert James Hilton and his wife Ellen Medora Cleaves. Albert was born December 27, 1833 in Jefferson, Maine. He was the son of Isaac Elton Hilton (1797-1883) and Margaret Hilton (1803-1888). Albert married Ellen Medora Cleaves. Ellen was born in 1842 and died in 1924. The reverse side of her photo tells us she was the sister of William S. Cleaves. Both Albert and Ellen are burined in the Alna Cemetery in Alna, Maine. They had two children, including Lura Florence Hilton (1873-1935) and Mabel A. Hilton (born 1867). Photos taken in Damariscotta, Maine and Augusta, Maine. Measure approximately 4.25 x 6.5 including mounts. Condition: These are original photographs, not a copy or reproduction. They are in excellent condition. Comments: These photos came from a large collection of inter-related family images including the surnames Plummer, Hewey, Jones, Cleaves, Hodgkins, Rollins, Butterfield, Hilton, Maxwell, Bond, Dodge, Winters, and Conroy. The primary progenitors of these families are Andrew Jackson Hewey (1835-1882), Elliot Plummer (born 1808), Jane West Plummer (1837-1919), and William Samuel Cleaves (1843-1916). We have added several photos of these families to our inventory, all listed and sold separately.
