Welcome to Antiques & Moore!

This listing is for a lovely crystal decanter or flask with silver plated flip top made by James Dixon & Son in Sheffield, England. The glass body has flat sides with slightly rounded corners and shoulder. The top is silver plated with hallmarks for James Dixon & Son along with their punch mark for "electro plated Britannia plate". To open, the top of the lid is turned counterclockwise and then the hinged cap will lift exposing a cork inside the top to prevent leakage. To "lock", the top is turned clockwise. The hinged top is attached to the silver collar with a tight hinge and operates smoothly.

Measures 5" high (including cap), 2" wide and 1 1/4" deep. Weighs 7.3 ounces.

This nice flask is in very good Estate condition with no noted flaws although there is an internal water/liquid streak down the length of the bottle on one side. When filled, this line will not be visible and may possibly be removed with additional hand washing. The silver top has no dents or dings but does reflect minor signs of tarnish.
