Vintage HOWDY DOODY DOLL EFFANBEE 1949 sleepy eyes 20 Inches, Rare Delightful! - Fair condition based on age and possible rough play.  Howdy is made of composition and shows common crazing and wear in head and hands.  Cloth body is stained and missing the stuffing and the foot of the right leg.  I believe the pants are original, the shirt I am not sure. Effanbee is the company that made this doll although they did not add markings.  Please review all pics carefully, he is far from perfect...but if you are like me that makes him imperfectly perfect for the right collector.  He is a delight to have on display! I have not cleaned him as I did not want to damage him at all. He Has area on back of head that looks like he had something stuck to him like maybe gum, but not too bad, but again, I did not attempt to clean...it's not sticky just looks like he got damaged even maybe by a fall. This does not show up well in the pick of the back of his head.  Clothes are fairly clean, a couple tiny rips.  I hate to part with him but for the right home I will let him go.
