The superb 1/76/OO scale Oxford Diecast AEC Mercury Turntable Ladder Fire Engine, in the livery of Newcastle & Gateshead Joint Fire Service.


Oxford says: 
Delivered in 1966 at a cost of £11,700 this was the second AEC Merryweather TL of Newcastle and Gateshead Joint Fire Service. It was assigned from new to Newcastle and Gateshead headquarters fire station at Pilgrim Street in the city centre. In April, 1974 it became part of the new Tyne & Wear Metropolitan Fire Brigades fleet and was repainted red. Later operating in the reserve fleet it was withdrawn and sold in 1987. Colours were deep burgundy with vermillion trim and silver lining.

The main body of the engine (Oxford No.76AM002) measures just under 4" (95mm) in length.

It is presented on a display plinth with a clear display case, & is new mint & boxed.
