Description
This is for a fabulous antique primitive decorative advertising wooden ship box. It has wonderful old black stenciling on two long sides that reads "5 LBS. NET WHEN PACKED BARTER'S KIPPERS ALWAYS GOOD & NONE BETTER PACKED BY CHELSEA SMOKED FISH CO. U.G. BARTER PROP. 222-224 WILLIAMS STREET CHELSEA MASS." Has fantastic original box corner joinery & nicely aged dark patina!!
It measures approximately 13 1/4 inches long by 6 1/2 inches width by 4 1/4 inches height.
It is in good antique condition with scattered use and wear marks throughout. Does have scattered staining especially on inside, a bit of wood loss on top edge corner, a speckle of white paint on one side wall & two of the box cut corner joinery has a bit of wood loss from age & wear.
