Well, here is something you dont see every day! Wiltron model 311 Ku, RF "Resolver", essentially a waveguide network analyzer transmission/reflection test set with built in detectors and modulator. It was intended for transmission & reflection measurements based on Wiltrons external log ratio electronics box. It contains a complex bridge setup for measuring amplitude and phase, the outputs are from detectors built in. As I understand it, it uses an HP Pin diode switch to chop the signal from your sources. Then the external electronics used "tuned voltmeter" methods to detect the chop frequency (sort of like the HP415E stuff but way more elaborate). I think it would be easy to make the external stuff up if you wanted to use this thing (looks like new inside!), probably could program an Arduino to do the actual measurement stuff. However, it is full of standard WR-62 waveguide goodies including 2 WR-62 to SMA waveguide adapters, an adjustable waveguide delay line (for phase calibration), 2 HP P424 waveguide detectors, 3 waveguide isolators, SPDT WG switch, waveguide directional couplers (good directivity!) and a lot of plumbing. My price is than  what I could sell the parts for. I did not want to strip this as it is unique and appears useful for "oddball" testing where you would not use your really expensive analyzer in case of damage (like high power or pulsed stuff). This cost $10K in 1969. I imagine it would be astronomical today to replicate. Wiltron was famous for their precision low loss adjustable delay lines. Have fun! I am swagging the shipping cost because this is rather large & heavy, so I hope I am close enough ("dimensional" weight is a killer)!
