Wide 1950's silhouette! Chic afternoon or cocktail dress.
Molded bodice, front darts and seams at sides and back (for fitted waist line). The bodice features a novel shaped V front neckline and round neckline in back. The short kimono sleeves are detailed with a pointed cuff. The dress has a side zipper.
The full skirt features four gores. Purchased belt.
The short bolero has a two button front closing and three quarter kimono type sleeves. It is reversible when faced with a contrasting fabric.
Suggested fabrics include rayon, linen, faille, bengaline, ottoman, wool.
Please note the sizing carefully! This is a size 16, bust 34 inches, waist 28 inches and hip 37 inches. This is an original vintage 1951 pattern, still in factory folds. The instructions are yellowed and intact. The envelope shows significant wear and tear and discoloration, as shown in the photos. Please contact me with any questions on this special item.
