Library call numbers on lower spine.

Originally from the library of US Army Cavalry School in Kansas in the year 1900, with the usual library ink-stamps.

Endpapers scarred from removal of library labels, card pocket etc.

One blank preliminary page had an tear on the edge, which was repaired with pH-neutral archival tape.

Binding still firm and holding together well. A sizable and relatively heavy 698 page book.

No writing to the text. 

Extensively illustrated.
