Stranger Cole (Wilburn Theodore Cole) born in 1945 in Kingston, Jamaica, is a pioneer of reggae music in Jamaica. This powerful singer and songwriter, whose family has a long tradition of musicians, started his career long before the ska rhythm was even known.
Over the years his laconic way of singing made its way to a powerful soul-voice. That is why he is also called the Jamaican Wilson Pickett. He is also a great performer. His warmth, joy and humor are unique. His powerful show makes some 20-year-old singers look really old.
