Limited edition 180g pink vinyl!
A must-have reissue of Frijid Pink's dynamic 1970 self-titled debut album, recorded at Abbey Road on 180g limited edition pink vinyl. Includes the hit "House Of The Rising Sun" which reached #1 in Germany, peaked at #4 in the UK and #7 in the US on the Billboard charts.
Formed in Detroit, Frijid Pink came from the same hard rock school as the MC5 and the Stooges. Their line-up included Tom Beaudry aka KELLY Green (vocals), Gary Ray Thompson (guitar), Tom Harris (bass), Larry Zelanka (keyboards) and Richard 'Rich' Stevens (drums). Their somewhat unusual name derives from the shocking pink velvet dresses they wore on stage.
A coveted collector's item and an important piece of American psychedelic rock history, Frijid Pink's self-titled debut album is now brought back to life on signature "Frijid" Pink vinyl. In addition to Frijid Pink's successful interpretation of the rock classic "House Of The Rising Sun", the first two singles "Tell Me Why" and "Drivin' Blues" are also included on the LP.
