Here, we have an American primitive shoeshine box. It also works as a carrier and makes a nice magazine holder (last picture), This appears to be made of found wood scraps of different thicknesses. It was made with tongue and groove corners, but round nails. This was purchased in the Mid-West at an antique shop during the 1960's. It measures 12 5/8" long, 9" wide, 10" tall and weighs 4 pounds 2 ounces.
This is in very good condition for its age and possible use. It remains very sturdy. It has the wear and patina you would expect on an antique. As I am not an expert, please see my photographs for more description.
My friends are moving to a smaller home and parting with some of their treasures.
I will be happy to answer any questions and combine your shipping.
