Style and luxury meet practicality and economy with this truly desirable and sought after Mercedes B-Class B180 Sport. This model is the high economy, but premium trim model - The best of both worlds in my opinion. It has prestige looks, a tec-laden, luxury specification and very low running costs. This cars 1.5 litre diesel engine produces 120bhp, but having used the car for the past week I have averaged between 55 and 65 mpg - and that is real world driving, not over-inflated manufacturers figures.
This is a handsome car which follows that traditional, with muscular lines and a well proportioned look thanks to its smart chrome grill and long, sculpted bonnet. The metallic coachwork on this model suits the B-Classes prestige image perfectly and makes the car look modern and tasteful.
Inside the car has a luxurious, full leather interior, with multi-adjustable seats which look fantastic and are extremely comfortable and supportive. The interior of this car has a high-quality feel with plenty of metal and carbon-look trim and a large colour screen which dominates the cars dashboard and serves as a multi-function display for the audio system, bluetooth telephone, parking camera, navigation and what has to be my favorite bit of tec in this car - Apple Carplay. Because this car has carplay you can stream your apps through this cars screen and control then via the multi-media system - This includes your phones navigation, which can be displayed as either a split-screen or full screen.
I love the small details which adorn this car. There is a multi-function steering wheel with controls for the trip computer and media system as well as automatic headlamps and rain sensitive wipers. On a practical note, the B-Class has 5 doors and a spacious interior which makes it perfect for smaller families as well as style-conscious motorists. The higher-than-normal seating position gives you a commanding view of the road and allows very easy access through wide-opening doors. The interior feels welcoming with gorgeous tones and a high quality feel. Rear passengers benefit from aviation-style fold away trays built into the the backs of the front seats. There are isofix anchor points for added practicality and rear ventilation so that everyone keeps cool.
