What a stunning print on this antique cotton! This fabric dates to approximately 1815-1820 and is French; the leaf design is just wonderful and has such movement in it! The ground tone is a beautiful dark chocolate brown with a beautiful mustard gold tone, and the leaves are hand block printed. This textile is a lovely medium weight and would be ideal for pillows, lampshades, framing, design inspiration, quilting, or so many other sewing projects!

MEASUREMENTS: I am selling this beautiful fabric BY THE HALF; one purchase of this textile will give you a piece that measures approximately 29 inches by 46 inches. If you'd like to purchase BOTH halves, simply add to your cart and change the quantity to 2 and you will receive one long uncut length that measures approximately 32 inches by 92 inches.

CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition for collectors, but could be hand washed and hung to dry. This piece looks like it was quilted in the past; there are still some threads in the surface that could be removed. There are many scattered tiny pinholes and small holes in this piece as well as a beautiful mend; use the zoom feature on the listing photos to see more detail. One end has a few small tears. This textile is not perfect, but it’s perfectly wonderful for someone with creative hands who doesn’t mind working around the flaws inherent in antique textiles!
