~*~ Welcome to the Textile Trunk! Please follow us on Instagram @textiletrunk ~*~

This is a wonderful , antique grain sack from Europe~ This textile dates from the 19th century ( though some in my collection are from the 18th century and even early 1900's) ~~This textile is made of linen , cotton and there may be a bit of wool in the blend also. This textile has a hand stitched seam that runs down the length ~These sacks often have a stamp so that the sack could be returned to the rightful owner after the grain was milled. I use these textiles all over my house. They are amazing to simply stuff with a king sized pillow and place two on the bed as a bolster pillow! GORGEOUS way to use these. They also make wonderful fabric for making pillows, napkins, clothing and ideal for heavy weight upholstery. They offer a totally unique look, each and every one in my collection! ~ They can be cut down one side, and then along the bottom to open out to be one piece of fabric! ( if you would like to see this, just search my store for " sack hack" and the listings of them cut open will appear! ) The inside of both panels are a super fun mystery until opened out! ~

MEASUREMENTS: This textile measures approximately 19 inches wide by 38 inches long
