~*~ Hello and Welcome to the Textile Trunk! ~*~ Please follow us on Instagram, we are @textiletrunk

I'm selling this fabulous bolt of Stair / Table Runner per ONE YARD length ( left in continuous lengths ). Important note for International buyers: International postage isn't expensive, however Etsy will charge as if you have purchased multiple parcels. So, not to worry one bit, I always refund ALL over payments in postage to your account once the item is mailed )

Ideal for any period interior ~This lovely textile was once used to make very heavy grain sacks, but now these bolts make fabulous stair runners! This rare bolt of homespun hemp dates from the early 1900's ~ and is 100% woven by hand. This wonderful antique bolt of hemp has a beautiful HEAVY weave and no stripe! It's simply STUNNING hand woven , THICK and heavy hemp ~*~ . This bolt would look wonderful in a farmhouse, but also in a modern interior as it has simple and clean lines, great colors! It is also great for making placemats, runners etc. VERY VERY durable, can be machine washed over and over and over again! ~*~ This textile is a very heavy weight, extremely durable, nice twill weave. The fabric is stiff and heavily textural, perfect for a stair runner ~ *~ I love knowing that these textiles were produced without the use of chemicals so are totally natural, organic textiles. ~*~ For easy stair runner instructions, please see below, and see condition below. ~*~

MEASUREMENTS: I am selling this bolt by the yard so each quantity will measure 1 yard long by about 20 inches wide. If you would like to receive a longer, continuous, uncut length simply increase the quantity and you will receive one long, uncut piece. For example, if you need 3 yards simply change the quantity to 3 and you will receive a length measuring 20 inches wide by 3 yards long. PLEASE NOTE : BECAUSE THESE BOLTS ARE ANTIQUE AND ONE OF A KIND UNIQUE, WE ARE NO LONGER ABLE TO ACCEPT RETURNS OF ANY PURCHASES OF LESS THAN 3 YARDS LONG.

CONDITION : This roll is in original, unwashed, unused condition. This bolt was found folded in half, so one side has a pale dirty mark down the middle but the other side does not!~ so, the weave would be the reverse if the fold line was an issue or the bolt can be dry cleaned ,I'm not certain that it would 100% clean ~ However as long as you are using this bolt for the one side as a stair runner or table runner, with only the one side showing it doesn't need to be cleaned unless you prefer! ~*~ Signs of time and use as are often inherent in these magical, hand woven, antique textiles! ~ Condition reflected in the price ~

STAIR RUNNER INSTRUCTIONS: These textiles are built to withstand generations of use~ To measure your stairs, simply lay a piece of string and follow the entire area as the runner will lay, then simply measure the string! I have sold many many of these rolls as stair runners and people have raved about them for a very long time. Fitting is usually done with a thin felt underlay and then either tacked, nailed or stapled to the stairs or stair rods can be used, however they tend to be more decorative than functional. People tend to treat with a stain guard before laying. Very simply and stunning! This fabric would also be wonderful cut into smaller rugs, table runners, stair runners or hallway carpeting OR would make a very rustic table runner~ it has a wonderful unique look, very special indeed~*~ ~*~!!! It would give so much warmth and flair to any room! ~*~ ( I have attached a couple of photographs of my runners in use~ so beautiful, so unique ~ a lovely piece of textile history; brought back to add beauty to our lives today~*~ ) These heavy textiles are far better to either dry clean or spot clean as needed. If laying as a stair runner, simply treat as you would any other rug to clean! ~
