CONDITION: Shown in 1943 catalog, this rarely seen Candlewick Hurricane Lamp is perhaps the most desirable piece in Imperial's candlewick collection. This lovely piece
was designed to be used as a candle lamp. The lamp consists of a #400/26 - Hurricane Lamp and Shade and uses a 400/152 adaptor to hold the candle in place. The shade is the  hardest part of this lamp to find. The lamp has been found with both a smooth rimmed shade and a ruffled or crimped top. shade This one has the harder to find smooth shade. When used, the lamp shade was often held in place with candle wax to assure a tight fit. This lovely piece is nice and clear with a beautiful crystal tint and none of the yellowing found in many hard to find pieces of Candlewick. All three pieces of this amazing lamp are in UNDAMAGED CONDITION without chips, cracks, or mold imperfections. The beads have all been thoroughly checked and have been found to be damage free. This lamp is clean both inside and out. It looks like it was not used at all. Candlewick - (1936-1984) Candlewick is the most popular pattern that Imperial ever made. More pieces were produced in this pattern than in any other Imperial pattern. Candlewick was made for almost 50 years and found its way into many homes. Candlewick was primarily produced in crystal, but some pieces were made in colors.
