The LM3914 is a monolithic integrated circuit that senses analog voltage levels and drives 10 LEDs, providing a linear analog display. A single pin changes the display from a moving dot to a bar graph.
Display mode: display the voltage between the battery upper and lower limits, 10 file display, each light on behalf of the power of 10%, 10 lights represent the range of 0% -100% power. You can also change it to single-lamp display, that is, only one light shows to save power. Single-lamp power consumption : 4mA, all-bright: 42mA.

The display range of the power supply is adjustable, and the discharge curve of the battery is set up scientifically. The batteries can be directly supported: single lithium 1S (4.2V)~4S (16.8V), lead acid 6V~12V, nickel hydrogen 3.6V~18V, etc.
Various battery display high and low voltage range:
Lithium battery:
Voltage of single-cell lithium battery after discharging is 3V, Voltage of fully charged is 4.2V.
1S correspond to 3V (first light) to 4.2V (tenth lights);
2S corresponds to 6V (first light) to 8.4V (tenth lights);
3S correspond to 9V (first light) to 12.6V (tenth lights);
4S correspond to 12V (first light) to 16.8V (tenth lights);
Other series voltage and so on.
Lead-acid batteries:
Lead-acid battery is generally 6V or 12V battery.
6V or 12V lead-acid battery is generally:
6V corresponds to 4.8V (first red light) to 6.75V (tenth lights);
12V corresponds to 9.6V (first red light) to 13.5V (tenth lights);
The module according to the above standard battery discharge range design, can accurately reflect the battery, so that users can readily observe the status of the battery.
Adjustment method:
Required equipment: an adjustable power supply(Power supply accuracy determines the board display accuracy),a slotted screwdriver
For example: Single lithium 3.7V, 3V for the low end of the power, 4.2V for full high-end
Adjust the adjustable supply voltage to the desired display voltage of high-end 4.2V, connected to the board, this time there are two results: one is not bright, one is bright or bright a few. At this time slowly adjust the board 503 (50k) potentiometer, until all the LED lights up. LED does not light or light a few: counterclockwise adjustment, full light: clockwise adjustment.
Adjust the adjustable power supply to the low end of the required voltage 3V. Adjust the board 502 (5K) potentiometer to just light up an LED. LED does not shine: clockwise adjustment, LED light a few or all bright: counterclockwise adjustment.
Patiently repeat the above two steps. Usually 2 times can be adjusted to the desired display range
Note:
A / P: full-bright linear / single-dot matrix mode switch, the default is linear mode, the board reserved for the switching pad, with solder on the pad can be turned into full-bright linear mode, no welding is Point-like single-lamp display.
The red line is connected to the cathode, the black line connected to the negative, can not be reversed. The maximum voltage of module is DC 20V. When welding, please use anti-static soldering station or use the residual heat after pulling.
