Classic Bally / Stern Lamp LED Anti-Flicker
Board Set
Are
You Looking to bring some new life to your Classic pinball machine?
With
so many options out there, not sure what you should use?
Or
you have previously bought a set of boards only to have the header plugs fall off.
Here at GEEKPCB's we may have the answer you are looking for, a few years ago, we found ourselves in just this same position, we have developed a Set of add on 'Mod' boards to better suit our & your needs, these three boards fit snuggly onto your original header pins, with slightly longer headers for your machines lamp plugs.
We have designed these to better sit on your factory lamp driver board, with two longer boards of 28 pins & one short board having 23 pins. Once the boards are placed onto your original Lamp board, you plug in the supplied system loop wire, then find on the back of the headboard a Switch Illumination Common wire to clip the "alligator clip"
Note
this must be a Switched Illumination Bus Wire, so if your LED's still blink you
have not found the correct wire.
Please be sure that you have a functioning lamp driver board, before insulation of our add on mod' board set.
Another option you may like to look at is our Full LED ready replacement Lamp Driver Board, these have been developed to be a "plug & play" replace your original lamp board, with upgraded lamp driver SCR's along with being LED ready. Please note that this board uses the same size and length headers as the original Bally / Stern board.

The LED lamp operates on direct current (DC) voltage and is therefore not recommended for alternating current (AC) voltages. In the market, there are multiple manufacturers of LED lamps designed for pinball machines, some of which are offered at a lower cost. However, it is important to note that the cheaper LED lamps are only compatible with DC voltage, while others are designed for AC voltages. We strongly advise purchasing AC voltage LED lamps for your pinball machine.
This recommendation is due to the fact that DC voltage LED lamps when used on AC voltage will strobe at 25 times per second, this phenomenon known as "50 Hertz buzz", which is caused by the frequency of the sine wave being only on the positive side for half of the cycle. Typically, pinball machines utilize AC voltage for the general illumination (GI) lighting. Our Lamp Driver board and LED mod' boards are intended solely for feature lamps and will not resolve the "buzzing/strobing" problem caused by the cheaper DC voltage only LED lamps.
