RARE vintage 1935 Reemtsma "Vom werden deutscher Filmkunst" #190 Brigitte Helm Metropolis Graded SGC 3. Incredibly Rare; this Card comes from "The Beginning Of German Cinema" and large set of German Tobacco cards that documents the history of German filmmaking until the year 1935. This set includes amazing cards featuring German Expressionist Era actors, sets, and promo photography. Recognized as the beginning of Modern science fiction Fritz Lang's 1927 silent epic Metropolis was a pioneer of film making. One of the most influential movies of all time Metropolis has become  part of the language of cinema, and science fiction, influencing everything from Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, as well as music including Queen,  Janelle Monáe, Madonna, Lady Gaga, KraftWerk. The card depicts a behind the scenes moment of director Fritz Lang and Brigitte Helm before the scene of The false Marie being burned by the citizens of Metropolis's undergroung. This card is not only an amazing piece of pop culture memorabilia, but also a piece of history, with this rare card surviving over 90 years. An amazing addition and a MUST HAVE as it is the rookie card for Metropolis, and quite possibly one of the first Robot / Science Fiction trading cards ever made; showing that fans of science fiction have been here since the beginning of film!
