Early 20th century Edwardian sterling silver basket with insert. Made by Reed & Barton in Taunton, Mass. Rectilinear base flowing into solid spread foot engraved with garlands. Wide and open mouth with fixed c-scroll handle. Allover pierced scrollwork and solid shaped frames on sides and handle (vacant). Mouth and handle rims scrolled and reeded.

Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 227A. Monogrammed. Measuring 14"h. 11"w. 5.25"d. Approx. 20.9 ozt. sterling silver (not including silver plated insert). Excellent condition.
