Inner sleeve states 'The original recordings were produced by Creed Taylor, and recorded in New York City, probably at either Bell Sound or Fine Sound.' However, other modern sources state the recording location definitively as Recording Studio operated by engineer (a=Rudy Van Gelder) from this location after mid-July 1959 until his death on August 25.
