It's an absolutely lovely piece and unlike any other. It has a long oval shaped, thicker than normal, natural black opal doublet that blazes with extraordinary color and fire in deep, yet bright flashes from red/pink to blue to purple, green and gold. The opal is better in person than our photos show and is worth, by itself, the value tag of $791.00
It is too magical in its appearance and has a curling edged ribbon frame that looks almost 'organic and living' with berries in a ruby, amethyst and faceted tsavorite. It twinkles.
The opal is Australian and in perfect condition. No dark spots, no cracks or crazing... just stunning. A very well loved and well-kept piece. The opal is a considerable size at 3.34 carats and measures in at 21mm by 7mm. The entire piece tip to toe is 1.5" long by a 3/4" wide.
The setting is sterling silver with 14k rose gold accents. The bail is a part of the overall design so rather 'hidden' and beautifully passes your chain through without making it obvious that there is a bail.
