On offer, we have an antique hand carved duck decoy made into a lamp. The wooden decoy has its original paint and glass eyes. We believe he is a type of Canvasback. He is mounted on what appears to be a kitchen cutting board with wooden knob feet. The bulb fixture and harp are brass. The bottom has a sticker "Blue Spruce Antiques Kenosha, Wisconsin" with a hand written "AKE". The lamp measures approximately 18" long, 8" wide and 23" high to the top of the finial. The decoy is 16" long. 5" wide and 7 1/2" high to the tip of the head. This weighs 4 pounds 7 ounces. The shade and bulb are not included in this auction.
I believe this is in very good condition. This decoy may, or may not, have been used for hunting. It is wonderful. The electric hardware is working, but wobbly and old, the cord is stiff. You may wish to replace them. As I am not an expert, please view my photographs for more description. This will be shipped with the hardware unassembled.
My elegant friend is moving to a much smaller home and parting with many of her collections. Your last 2 photos are of this lamp with another from her collection. They were purchased in the 1960's.
I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping when possible.
