1930’s Canadian Red Ensign Flag

I am offering for sale my vintage Canadian Red Ensign circa 1930’s. This was the Canadian national flag from 1922-1957. ( as represented by the green leaves on the national coat of arm )

The flag is made of woollen organic cloth and shows some signs of wear, but is in overall great condition for its age.

A stitched manufactures tag adds valuable provenance to this flag as it was made by “SS Holden Ltd” in Ottawa. SS Holden Ltd. has a storied history in Canada and within the British Empire.

The Union Jack portion of the flag is several pieces of organic woollen cloth stitched together and visible on both signs of the flag. The coat of arms is a stitched-on, printed, woollen crest that is also visible on both sides.

The flag measure 9 feet (274cm) long by 54 inches (137 cm) wide and is an absolute rare find in this size. These flags are few and far between.

This is an absolute incredible piece for discerning collectors who fancy vintage Canadian regalia and have a passion for Canadian history.
