Yes, these shears are very sharp. They will cut through a lot of stuff besides plants and shrubs... Cuts cardboard and paper like butter.

These pair of   BOKER  USA  shears have been well oiled and well taken care of. Hardly ever left outdoors or out in the rain.

The BOKER logo is extremely faded but you can still read it. It's definitely a boker.

No cracks in the wooden handles. Nicely sanded, and stained recently.

Overall a very well kept vintage pair of giant scissors almost.

Feels nice when you cut through anything.

BOKER IS A WELL KNOWN HIGH QUALITY CUTTERY BLADE MAKER / POCKET KNIFE MANUFACTURER.

Originally from Germany I believe (BÖKER). But eventually turned into an American made company. I have a few straight razors and pocket knives made by boker but they all say made in Germany...hmmmm?

The steel used to make these are very strong and perfect material if you are trying to uses these shears to make your own knife or project. BOKER used the finest high carbon steel back then (1970's-1980's).  This is why you don't see too many shears with this type of high quality high carbon steel blades made in the USA.

They definitely don't make them like they used to.
