Attraktive, altkolorierte Karte von Nordwest-England mit der Isle of Man, Anglesey

und einem Teil von Wales.

Besonders schöne ornamentale Titelkartusche in Rollenwerk, darunter Meilenanzeiger.

Im unteren Rand mit Druckprivileg von Gerhard Mercator.


Die Karte stammt aus dem Atlas „Abbildung der gantzen Welt ..." von Gerard Mercator

und Jodocus Hondius. Rückseitig deutscher Text.

 

ABMESSUNGEN
Blattgröße: 55,4 x 44,7 cm; Plattengröße: 42 x 36,5 cm.
 

ZUSTAND
In guter Erhaltung. Zustand. Kräftiger Druck und festes Bütten, sehr dekorativ. Schönes, zeitgenössisches Altkolorit. Im unteren Falzrand mit Restaurierung. In den Außenrändern nur minimal leicht gebräunt. Breitrandiges Exemplar.

Leaf: 55,4 x 44,7 cm; Plate: 42 x 36,5 cm.
 
CONDITION
In good condition. Strong print, strong handmade paper and very decorative and
nice contemporary oldcolouring. In the lower margin restored.
Only minimal brownish in the margin. Looks good and very decorative.
