From the archives of The Robbins Co of Attleboro, MA, this listing is for the actual steel stamping die used to make Pan American Airways World Wings charms or fobs. This organization was open to former Pan-Am flight attendants. The die is dated July 1993 on the side and the company ledger book (see scan) for this S/N M9930 shows this die was originally made for Pan American World Airways on November 16, 1966 at a cost of $192. The 1993 date on this die indicates it is either a duplicate die or a replacement made in 1993 due to damage to the original die. Robbins’ manufacturing policy was to keep the same S/N on a replacement die but list the actual date of manufacture. The die has a diameter of 2 ½” and stands 1 ½” high.
