CRACK IN THE WORLD
Mexican lobby card '65 Dana Andrews, wild artwork of Earth splitting open

An Original Vintage Theatrical Mexican Movie Lobby Card

Crack in the World, the 1965 Andrew Marton science fiction (sci-fi) action thriller ("You'll thank God it's only a motion picture!"; "Science miscalculates... Underground Atom Bomb explodes earth's core... and the world totters on the brink of destruction!"; "Today's Terrifying Look Into What Might Happen Tomorrow"; "SEE... Daring magmanauts descend into boiling pits at center of the earth!"; SEE... Crack after thunderous crack as the earth bursts open... Ripping asunder..."; SEE... The blonde scientist... Trapped underground with her lover and her husband..."; "The day the Earth split in two!"; "Screenplay by Jon Manchip White and Julian Halevy") starring Dana Andrews, Janette Scott, Kieron Moore, Alexander Knox, and Peter Damon. Note that Janette Scott is best remembered for her starring role in "Day of the Triffids" in 1963, which was immortalized in the lyrics of the song from "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" that says "And I really got hot when I saw Janette Scott fight a triffid that spits poison and kills." She divorced her first husband and married Mel Torme in 1966, which pretty much ended her career, as she quickly had two children.
