MS62 | George II (1727-1760), Lima Halfcrown, 1745 DECIMO NONO, reads GEORGIUS, rev. nine strings to harp, angles plain, edge lettered upwards, 5h (ESC 1687 [605]; Spink 3695; Pywell-Phillips 325), experiencing a noticeable surge in popularity of late despite its survival frequency, nevertheless it is difficult to conceive of a more handsome or representative example of Admiral Anson's famous bullion bounty coinage, richly cabinet toned with iridescent flares overlying lustrous recesses, a most attractive good extremely fine, in PCGS holder, graded MS62 (Cert. 80712865)
