LATE 19TH C MEJI ERA JAPANESE SATSUMA VASES WITH SCENES OF FIGURES AND NOBLEMEN

Circa 1868 onward

These vases have been decorated to a high quality with particular detail shown on the faces of the people.
All sections have been painted with fine brush strokes and include moriage decoration throughout.
Both vases have been signed by the artist on the base.

Total weight 3,502 Kg

CONDITION REPORT
The borders of gold at the neck of the vase and at the base have worn where it has been handled over the years.
One vase has suffered a chip at the base, see photo 15, otherwise the vases are in excellent condition despite their 150 years of age.
