The combination of a body compatible with electrical contacts and the latest firmware enables Exif information, focus check and shooting distance-linked display, as well as in-body image stabilisation and parallax correction for certain models.
When the lens is mounted on a model that does not support electrical contacts, aperture priority auto shooting is possible by setting the release without lens to "ON" in the camera settings.
The lens construction is a traditional double-Gaussian. All lenses are spherical lenses in the 8-element style, with a large F1.2 aperture and stable descriptive power even when the aperture is wide open, allowing you to enjoy smooth, large bokeh out-of-focus effects.
The aperture blades are composed of 12 elements with 1/3-step clicks, taking into account the shape of the bokeh effect. The minimum focusing distance is 0.3 m. In addition to capturing a wide variety of subjects, from landscapes to portraits and table photography, the close-up effect produces a large bokeh effect, expanding the possibilities for photography that makes use of the bokeh effect when the aperture is wide open.
Despite its large aperture, the lens is compact and easy to handle, making it ideal for everyday use.
