Union Carbide ran a series of ads in the 1950s, each a painting of different locations and items, each with a large hand or two doing something. It is a series of “Union Carbide has a hand in…” ads.

This one is about uranium used in the medical industry. The ad shows a hand holding an colorful atom (with orbiting electrons).

Ad text starts “probing the atom…for you” and goes on about better health due to radioisotopes.

This ad is full page, approx. 7” x 10”, carefully removed from an actual 1959 magazine.
