This advertising page was by the Diesel divisions of General Motors; Electro-Motive Division (EMD), Cleveland Diesel Engine Division and Detroit Diesel Division.

This ad has a small color painting of a farm tractor. The main painting shows a Currier and Ives print of an old-time steam locomotive and a larger new diesel locomotive. This one is a Great Northern RR engine, EMD FT #5701. 

Ad text starts “Railroading crosses a new frontier” and goes on about the war promising new innovations, in this case diesel train engines.

This ad is full page, approx. 7” x 10”, carefully removed from an actual 1943 magazine.
