You will need to remove the solder blob prior to installing.

I also highly recommend taping down the rear safety switch of your playstation 2 slim.

PVR-802W laser lens is compatible with PS2 system model: SCPH 700xx model or PS2 version 12(Slim version), But May Not Compatible with the Slim has Philip SPU-3170 Laser. It Work And Can Be Replacement With All Current Slim PS2 Has PVR-802W, KHS-430 Laser Lens Installed.
