Antique Circa 1880 Photographs Lehigh Coal Navigation Mining Railroad Daniel F Bittner Identified, prominent Pennsylvanian who was a contractor for Lehigh coal and navigation Co.  Mr Bittner is in the foreground of one photo, and there is an x mark over him in another.  Mr. Bittner also worked on the south mountain railroad and the B&O Railroad to Port Deposit Md. He was also a contractor that conducted ground topping from coal beds for Lehigh navigation.  

Very rare photos showing numerous men and equipment.  Some overall wear and surface damage to top of one image.  Both are approx. 8x5" and are stamped on back CH Staudt Photographer Summit Hill PA. See photos
