Here is a Bing & Grondahl Blue Traditional (Blamalet) Star Shaped Dish, Number 42A.
It is a rare and wonderful piece with the famous blue fluted / musselmalet motifs expertly painted with the underglaze technique.
The piece is factory second quality in excellent used condition. The dish was made and hand painted in Denmark in the period 1952-1957.
The dish measures approximately 5 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches edge height
The dish is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. There is minimal scratching on the surface of the dish. There are a number of minor, discrete glaze irregularities on the edge and bottom of the dish, see final photos.
It is a lovely piece that deserves its place in any collection!
