This advertising page was by the Diesel divisions of General Motors; Electro-Motive Division (EMD), Cleveland Diesel Engine Division and Detroit Diesel Division.  

The ad has a small color painting the Burlington Route’s Zephyr. The main painting shows a modern diesel locomotive. This one is a 4-unit set for the Burlington Route (CB&Q) EMD FT number 100.  

Ad text starts “Pathfinders of the Diesel Era” and goes on about the use of diesel engines.  

This ad is full page, approx. 7” x 10”, carefully removed from an actual 1944 magazine.
