Head i.Presitge midsize (93 sq in, aka mid)
If you know this racquet, you know that:
- As storied as the Prestige line of racquets has been, the 2001 i.Prestige was the last GREAT one. That year is was ubiquitous on tour, incl. in the hands of Keurten winning the French and Ivanisevic's cinderella win at Wimbledon.
- The midsize (93 sq in) is much, much harder to come by than the midplus (98 sq in). But its the midsize that's truer to the classic Prestige feel and balance. And unlike the midplus, the midsize features the signature wrap-around bumper guard, more true to the Prestige aesthetics.
- Some of the batches of i.Prestige used a particularly soft black paint, and through the years many i.Prestiges had aged poorly - notably with the paint job on the neck wearing terribly. Luckily, the bad paint is NOT the case on this one.
