These pipes are made by ser jacopo with the Mastro Gepetto brand.

The main differences between the two brands can be summarized as follows:
Mastro Geppetto pipes are made with classic finishes and 4 colors.
ser jacopo it has 9 finishes and 12 colours.
Mastro Geppetto pipes are limited to 15 shapes.
ser jacopo it has unlimited possibilities of shape.
Mastro Geppetto pipes have a suggested retail price approximately 25% lower than ser jacopo .
Technically the two brands differ for these reasons:
Firstly, Geppetto and ser jacopo are made with the same grade of Extra-Extra briar.
There is a subtle difference - ser jacopo uses XX Plateaux, which includes the bark on the outer surface while Geppetto is always XX briar, but without the outer bark.
It should not be thought that Geppetto pipes are made with inferior quality briar.
The fact is that of the numerous types of briar, the XX grades are at the tip of the pyramid, being the most expensive and rarest.
When the briar is cut from the bush a portion of the briar is smooth and a portion is rough with bark.
All "Plateaux" briar comes from the outer part of the briar.
The briar for Geppetto comes from the smooth, internal parts of the briar.
ser jacopo pipes are drilled with a special flexible drill, and the time needed to adjust the machine to bore an infinite number of shapes and sizes generates a higher cost.
Geppetto uses a conventional tool, resulting in real time savings.
ser jacopo makes pipes in a wide range of finishes and colors, the Geppetto line is available in classic finishes and in 4 colors:
200 series dark plum;
300 mahogany;
Series 400 natural and from a series of 500 Natural fumée.
Furthermore, the limit of 15 shapes, as opposed to the infinite possibilities of the ser jacopo range, saves a lot of time.
The limited number of finishes, colors and shapes combine to allow ser jacopo to use economies of scale in the production of Mastro Geppetto , as they have learned over the last few years, during the development and production of their Picta and The Pipaccia.
The production of a Mastro Gepetto or ser jacopo is done by the artisans of ser jacopo . The mouthpieces are hand cut from methacrylate bars for both lines, and the Mastro Geppetto logo is a reproduction of the Pinocchio silhouette inlaid in silver in the mouthpiece, while in ser jacopo it is a "J" inlaid in silver.
Both lines are supplied boxed and bagged and covered by the same guarantee.
