For spring expanding curtain rods.

Manufacturer’s stated usage:

Used in windows, alcoves, corner wardrobes, etc. Also for airing lines and wood mantlepieces.

The cardboard backing cards are fatigued from years of storage and several house moves. The brackets themselves have never been removed from the cards. The brackets have some light surface patina consistent with age. The approximate vintage (ca.1950s/60s) is based on the likely period of purchase being post 1945, and the type of screw used (round flathead) as cross-head/Phillips/Pozidrive screws weren’t in widespread use by British manufacturers until the early 1970s.
