Pennsylvania Railroadfrom 1948This advertisement page is for the Pennsylvania Railroad. The ad has a painting (by Jerome Rozen) of a red Pennsylvania RR passenger car. A porter (cap says ‘trainman’) is helping a young girl to board the car. Mom, and another couple are standing by. There is also a small painting of 2 Pennsy trains; one with a A-B-B-A diesel set, the other with a T1 steam locomotive. Ad text starts “For a carefree vacation…go by train” and goes on about the vacation travel on the PRR.
