Selling is an advertisement page for:Nash Kelvinator Corporationfrom 1943This advertisement page is for the Nash Kelvinator Corporation. This ad is one of a series of ads by Nash that were a more sobering look at war. Most ads of the time highlighted just the kill-the-enemy mentality. This series addressed some of the wars negative aspects and the need for that to achieve final victory. The ad has a large color painting (can’t make out artist’s name) of a pilot in a single-seater fighter. Just shown is the sliding canopy; looks like a Grumman Wildcat or Hellcat to me, though text says Corsair. Ad text starts “In the roar of an engine…I hear the beating of your heart” and goes on about the war and Nash’s war production airplane engines. This ad is full page, approx. 7” x 10”, carefully removed from an actual 1943 magazine. my ad#43F8 Please see my other auctions for more goodies, books and magazines. I’ll combine wins to save on postage. Thanks For Looking! Luke 12: 15 |
