Here you have a Great Bit of Vintage MOVIE MEMORABILIA! Please...SEE THE SCAN!!! This is color in film and the possibility of making a film of Margaret Mitchell’s book “Gone With The Wind” featured inside of a complete 1937 issue of LITERARY DIGEST Magazine!!! This issue includes the article "CELLULOID RAINBOW FOR HOLLYWOOD: GOLDWYN OF THE EPIGRAMS SEES GOLD IN MUD COLORS". Nice one–page article! Nice Photos! The gist of the article is SAMUEL GOLDWYN’S take on color in film. Goldwyn is pictured here. The other photo is of MRS JOCK WHITNEY (BETSEY CUSHING WHITNEY) who is noted as a dark-horse candidate for the role of SCARLETT O’HARA. The article notes that Selznick-International had bought the screen right to GWTW and might make it into a color movie that year… Mr Whitney ponied up part of the money to buy the rights to the book. This mentions that he had named a race horse “Tara”. This is a wonderful time capsule. It is in fine condition with some vintage corner and edge wear. It's not mint, but fairly gently read and a tough find!!! A great piece FOR THE COLLECTOR! Take it home with you! Winner, please add $5.00 for postage and wonderful packaging. GOOD LUCK!
