Original vintage Hasbro G.I. Joe 12" figure with Outfit #605 "Action Soldier With Machine Gun"; Japanese Rare SOFUBI BOOTS.

The painted head doll shows some paint wear on the hair and eyebrows. The body of the doll shows some wear, with a cracks on the knees, as well as the the lower back. Despite the wear, the Joe can still hold poses.

This outfit is the Japanese outfit #605 Action Soldier with Machine Gun. This outfit and numbering can be seen in examples of Japanese G.I. Joe toy catalogs. (Catalog pictured for REFERENCE ONLY and is NOT INCLUDED)

The made in Japan olive drab shirt shows some wear, with some staining on the shoulders and some oxidization on the metal clasps. The matching pants show staining on the inseam as well as on the lower legs. The helmet is INTACT with clasp and plastic hitch, however the elastic strap is loose with age. The figure's machine gun accessories display well for their age.

The figure includes Japanese exclusive "Sofubi Boots". These boots were paired with early G.I. joe figures sold exclusively in the Japanese market. These boots are made of a thinner, soft rubbery material and are a distinctly different sculpt from the American issue G.I. Joe tall rubber boots. The material and style of boot are similar to Japanese soft vinyl (sofubi) toys of the era. The molding and slight height difference are noted in the 3rd picture in the listing (American tall brown rubber boot is NOT included with this figure). As the boots are made of a different material compared to their American counterparts; they age differently; resulting a slightly oily brown residue, this can stain G.I. Joe clothing after long periods of exposure as seen on the pants of this figure. Overall a great G.I. Joe action soldier to add to any 12" collection!
