Theme: "Red Fuji"  in the series "Thirty Six Views of Mt. Fuji" by Hokusai KATSUSHIKA

Thirty-six Views of Mt. Fuji is a notable example of a landscape painting or Ukiyoe created by Hokusai KATSUSHIKA.

Red Fuji is the phenomenon in which Mt. Fuji, which normally looks bluish,
appears reddish due to clouds and fog and the morning sun,
mainly in the early morning from late summer to early autumn.

The unique unevenness of the cloisonne makes it look different depending on
the angle of view and the light.
Each piece is handmade in Kyoto, so the texture and expression may be slightly different
from the one in the photo.
Enjoy the look of a work that is linked by fate with you.
If you really don't like it, you can exchange it or return it, so don't worry about ordering.

We will send you the work in a frame, which may be different from the one in the picture.
But we can assure you that the frame will be of similar quality.

*To avoid light reflection and to capture the unique unevenness of cloisonné,
the photos were taken without the frame's glass plate.

Cloisonné (Japanese: Shippo 七宝)

Cloisonné is a traditional Japanese ceramic art form that utilizes metal and enamel.
Its origins can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907) in China
and subsequently developed in Japan.

In Japan, the technique of cloisonné was introduced
during the Nara period (710-794) when Buddhism was brought over from China.
The technique was brought by the envoys to Tang Dynasty
and it underwent unique development in Japan.

During the Heian period (794-1185), cloisonné became highly valued
and was utilized as significant ornamentation in the imperial court and among the aristocracy,
resulting in the creation of exquisite works of art.
