Fabulous and very extremely rare issue number 3 of the British edition of Vogue! UK Vogue began in 1916 and it's extraordinary that such an early issue has survived for over 105 years!  Even more so given that this issue was published during the height of WWI!

The Art Deco cover is drawn by the great fashion illustrator Georges Lepape.

Absolutely fascinating issue full of illustrations and photography, the ads themselves are a window into history.

Dated October 15th 1916 / Late October.  English Vogue began in September 1916 and this issue is a very rare artefact from World War One. These early issues of UK Vogue are extremely difficult to find as, during WWII, British Vogue encouraged everyone to recycle paper and indeed Vogue magazines - for the war effort, so many of these early issues were destroyed and pulped!

Excellent condition with some light wear.  Spine strong and pages complete. The images show the actual magazine that you will receive. These are fragile magazines and to find one in this condition is also a great find.

Post includes insurance & online tracking. We are happy to combine post.
