This is a very rare issue of British magazine Picture Post magazine, published weekly in the UK.

A very rare Marilyn Monroe cover in this rare 1950's issue of PICTURE POST.

Monroe's husband Arthur Miller is featured inside; 2 pages with photographs by Slim Hewitt, inc a photo of the writer with actress Mary Ure.  Includes a report on Marilyn's latest film 'Bus Stop' with two more photographs of MM.

Also inside - 

Ava Gardner, 3 page feature.  The magazine asks Ava who she'd like to get stranded on a deserted island with, then they present the list to those chosen for their thoughts ...ERNEST HEMINGWAY,  Tennessee Williams, SALVADOR DALI, Yul Brynner and others.

4 page James Dean feature after his death. Photos of the actor in London, in California and on location.  Written by Gavin Lyall.

Dai Dower in the army, 2 pages of photos and write-up.

Mau Mau in Kenya, 4 pages of photos.

Amazingly rare artefact. These early issues of Picture Post are extremely difficult to find - there's only a finite amount of these old magazines left in the world!

Excellent condition.  Staples secure and the magazine is complete.  There is natural age and light wear to some edges of the magazine some light normal tanning, see photos.  Standard for newsprint paper of this era.  The number 13 has been written in pencil on the cover page.  The photographs are of the actual magazine that you will receive; we don't use stock images.

This original magazine also comes from a smoke-free environment. All of our magazines are professionally stored inside acid-free archival and anti-UV plastic sleeves to protect from discolouration.
